Loaves and Fishes Outreach Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit of the Episcopal Diocese of Albany, serving two of Albany’s most underserved neighborhoods. At the heart of our work is a weekly meal program that offers more than just food; it offers connection, compassion, and community.
Powered entirely by volunteers from sponsoring parishes across the Diocese, we provide nutritious meals, essential supplies, and supportive services to neighbors facing food insecurity and hardship.

🌿 Compassion in Action
Each week, Loaves and Fishes distributes over 1,500 pounds of food sourced from the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY. Volunteers gather fresh produce, dairy, and bread to fuel our kitchen, where chefs craft beautifully presented meals in eco-friendly containers—honoring both our guests and the environment.
Guests also receive weekly pantry bags filled with groceries and personal care items not covered by SNAP. And thanks to our parish partners, we host monthly drives to collect and share essentials like clothing, diapers, hygiene products, and more—meeting needs with dignity and love.
